Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren Price is still in office, and he is headed to trial on 12 felony counts. Prosecutors say his wife's consulting firm was paid close to a million dollars by agencies and developers whose deals he voted on, and that the city paid health insurance for her while he was still legally married to another woman. He has pleaded not guilty.
In August 2026, a second judge refused to dismiss the case. His next court date is October 16, when a trial date is expected to be set.
