Clinic CEO CHARGED As FBI EXPOSES $92M Medicaid Scam & Faces 20 Years In
A methadone clinic in Oak Lawn, Illinois billed Medicaid more than $92 million and was paid about $75 million. According to an FBI affidavit, on paper it was giving 762 hours of one-on-one counseling a day, with about 16 providers on staff.
Federal agents say ODA Solutions billed for therapy sessions while patients were in the hospital. One of them was a man being treated for a gunshot wound, and the clinic kept billing in his name for a year after he died. Two weeks of FBI video surveillance counted no more than 45 patients walking in on any day.
Prosecutors say the money went to brokerage accounts, a car dealership, jewelry, real estate, a Bentley, and a 42-foot yacht docked at Chicago's 31st Street Harbor under the name "Butt Nekkid."
