Arizona Felon CHARGED As Feds SEIZE His Rolls-Royce & Mansion In $33M Medicaid Scheme
In a 2022 Facebook video, a Peoria, Arizona man shows off a brand new Rolls-Royce Cullinan and calls it "a gift from me to me." Federal prosecutors say the money came from Arizona's Medicaid program, through a health plan set aside for Native Americans.
Maurice Marcell Williams, 48, had spent almost eight years in prison. Prosecutors say that record would have kept him out of the Medicaid program, so he put his son's name on the application instead. His company, Thinking and Learning Together 2, billed the state more than $33 million in one year. Arizona paid about $19.7 million. Prosecutors say some of the patients on those bills were sitting in jail at the time.
Agents seized the Rolls-Royce, a 12,000 square foot house in a gated Peoria community, and more than $5 million from brokerage accounts. The U.S. Attorney says nearly $14 million has been recovered so far. Agents also found four pistols and a shotgun he was not allowed to own.
